• ISO 9001

Achieving ISO 9001 creates a positive statement to prospective customers about your Organisation’s policy towards quality and the importance you place on meeting your customer’s needs.

Those companies that have shown progress to the top in their respective field often attribute this to attaining ISO standards and this approach on board across all their activities in their business.

  • ISO 14001

It was introduced in 1996 and was revised in November 2004 and again in 2015 as an International Standard to uplift organisation’s Environmental Management Systems. How do environmental concerns impact your business? We have to take liability for our business processes both ethically and practically, there are stringent punishments in place for polluters of land, air and water. Achieving and maintaining ISO 14001 reflects that you’re well versed on the effects of your own activities on the environment. It also signifies that you are actively seeking to reduce any negative impacts.

In Practice, You’ll Need To Create Two Registers :

A legal register detailing the environmental legislation which affects your organisation. This is appropriate for you to show that you understand what to follow and what you need to do to comply. A second register relating to the environmental impact of your own activities and how you are addressing any negative impacts. It is significant to note that the scope of this involves global issues such as climate change and the hole in the ozone layer.
